An important victory for APOEL tonight against AEL winning 1-0 3 games before the playoffs. APOEL has found its great old self again after the last 3 consecutive draws, coming in strongly and seeking the win with everything it had. At just the 11th minutes, Chrysis sent the ball straight to the net with a strong shoot. From then on and until the end of the first half, our team played the good, relaxed football they know managing to create at least 3 more good chances to score.
The second half saw AEL starting a bit more aggressive, even managing to create 1-2 good chances to score. Chiotis denied all of them however with APOEL playing even more determined during the last 20 minutes of the game creating a number of chances for a second goal. The end of the match found APOEL in the second place of the leader board after just having won 3 valuable points.
